Why do I need Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting 2025 tickets?

Tickets are required to join all shareholder events during the week of the meeting. Your ticket gives you discounts at the exhibition hall and in the facilities of Nebraska Furniture Mart, Borsheims, or The Bookworm (more below).

• Tickets are handed out as a 3.22- x 4.92-inch (8.2 x 12.5 cm) sized badge.
• Every year, the design of the badge changes to fit the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting design.
• In Omaha, you can pick up a lanyard to comfortably wear the ticket badge around your head.

Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting tickets are also called credentials or shareholder badges. To keep it simple, we are calling them tickets. Here, we show you the three different ways to get your Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting 2025 tickets.  

 

How can I pre-order Berkshire Hathaway AGM 2025 tickets?

We strongly recommend pre-ordering tickets. You have two options for doing this:

The proxy form

Shareholders can request their tickets via the proxy form (it will be available in March 2025). With the proxy form, you can proceed now with the following steps:

• Please complete the proxy form and send it to Berkshire Hathaway via the postal service. Berkshire Hathaway will send you the tickets to your home address.
• If you get a physical copy of the annual report, you can order the AGM tickets via the perforated card on Berkshire Hathaway’s printed annual report.

Getting your tickets via the proxy form is free. This way, you can order up to four tickets. Please ensure that you fill out the proxy form easily legible. Otherwise, the letter may be lost. You do NOT need a proof of ownership to get the tickets. Simply filling out the credential request is enough.

You have to factor in a shipping buffer for the proxy form:

• As an international shareholder, plan with two weeks shipping time to Omaha and the similar time frame to get the tickets delivered. We recommend sending out the proxy form in early April 2025 the latest.
• As a domestic shareholder, you could receive your tickets quicker. But we also recommend sending out the proxy form as soon as you can.

eBay

eBay users can order the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting 2025 credentials for a fee of $5 (ebay.com) or $6 (not ebay.com) per ticket via the official account brka_b. Please only buy tickets from this account. It is the only (!) reputable source.

• US shareholders will only have to wait a few days until they get their tickets. Usually, for them, shipping is free.
• International shareholders also have to factor in shipping fees and shipping times. The price per ticket and shipping fees are the cheapest via ebay.com. Here, shipping fees are below $15. Furthermore, timing the shipping window right can be crucial. It can take up to one month to get the tickets. But from our experience, “real” shipping times are usually quicker. So, please plan in some buffer that your tickets arrive on time before you fly to the United States. We would recommend planning at least a two weeks shipping buffer to be on the safe side.

Ordering tickets via eBay is the most convenient option. However, this is not the cheapest way to access the CHI Health Center, as you must pay for every ticket and additional shipping fees.

 

When are tickets available for pre-ordering?

Tickets will be available after the release of the official proxy fillings in mid-March 2025.

Here, we have collected the past release dates of tickets to give you an estimate of when to expect tickets will be available.

• In 2024, proxy materials were available from 16. March 2024. Tickets on eBay were available from 27. March 2024.
• In 2023, proxy materials were available from 17. March 2023. Tickets on eBay were available from 27. March 2023.

How can I pick up Berkshire Hathaway AGM tickets in Omaha?

There is also an option to pick up tickets in Omaha. You might have to wait a few hours in the rain to get your tickets at the will-call. Therefore, we recommend pre-ordering your tickets ahead of your trip to Omaha.  

Will-call

As a shareholder, you can pick up your badges on-site in the will-call area in the lobby of the CHI Health Center. Picking up your ticket there is possible:

• Friday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM (our recommended day to get tickets) and
• Saturday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

In the will-call area, you must show your photo identification and proof that you are a shareholder.

• The photo identification can, for instance, be your passport or your driver’s license.
• The shareholder proof can be a certificate of your broker, a printed security account statement, a screenshot, or just your broker app that shows you own a Berkshire Hathaway share.

What is the schedule of the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting 2025?

The Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting 2025 will be held on Saturday, 03 May 2025, at the CHI Health Center Omaha. It has the following schedule (in local CT time):

• 07:00 AM – The Berkshire Shareholder Meeting 2025 doors, including the Exhibition Hall, open.
• 08:45 AM – The enchanting and exclusive Berkshire Shareholder Meeting 2025 Movie will start.
• 09:15 AM – Shareholders can ask Warren Buffett, Ajit Jain, and Greg Abel questions.
• Noon – The shareholder meeting will have a lunch break of one hour.
• 01:00 PM – The Q&A resumes. After the Q&A, the official AGM will take place.
• 05:00 PM – Berkshire Hathaway plans to end the meeting around this time.

Which part of the AGM can I only experience in person in Omaha?

The live stream covers 100% of the Q&A. But the first hour of the Berkshire Hathaway Meeting 2025 can only be experienced in person. You will miss the great atmosphere in the morning and the enchanting and exclusive Berkshire AGM 2025 Movie if you only watch the live stream.  

 

How can I ask Berkshire Hathaway’s management a question?

During the AGM, Warren Buffett, Ajit Jain, and Greg Abel can be addressed with shareholder questions. You have two options to ask a question:

1. In advance, you can send your questions to Becky Quick via . Becky will pick the best questions to ask them to Warren Buffett, Ajit Jain, or Greg Abel.
2. If you are at the meeting, you can try your luck with the question lottery. At 8:15 AM, shareholders at each of the 11 microphone locations at Berkshire Shareholders Meeting 2023 will be drawn to ask a question. If you are selected, you can ask any question once Warren Buffett calls your microphone.

How can I improve the chance to get a great answer to my question?

To get a great answer to your question, Berkshire Hathaway asks for the following:

• Please do not ask more than one question or attempt to “bundle” several questions together.
• Please do not ask what we are buying or selling. Even if the information is public, we do not discuss how we arrive at our decisions. We also will not discuss politics. Any other subjects are fair game.

In our eyes, your chance that Becky Quick will pick your question will be increased if keep your question short and focus your question on one clear aspect.

 

How is parking at the BRK 2025 AGM?

There is plenty of parking space available outside the CHI Health Center. Surface parking is $10. Garage parking (when available) is $15. You can find the recommended parking spots here.

What are alternatives to driving to the CHI Health Center?

Here are the alternatives to driving to the CHI Health Center. You can learn more details on how to use these alternatives in the lower chapters of this guide:

• We recommend using public buses that go downtown. They only cost $1.25 per person and ride. ORBT, route 11, route 13, route 18, and route 30 will arrive downtown before the start of the AGM.
• A ride with Heartland Bike Share (parking stations are in front of the CHI Health Center). Shareholders can get a $2 discount on the monthly pass with the code BRK2025.
• Berkshire Hathaway also offers shuttle buses on the AGM day. Their routes are described in the visitor’s guide.
• Taxis, Uber, and Lyft will also be available on Saturday morning. Due to the high demand, prices could be elevated.

 

Can I bring my bag to the Berkshire Shareholder Meeting 2025?

The CHI Health Center has a clear bag policy. Details on it can be found on the center’s website. Additionally, here are some of our observations from the morning of the Berkshire Shareholders Meeting:

• There is a baggage check at an airport-like security level for entrants with larger bags. Usually, you are only allowed to bring smaller bags into the Berkshire Shareholder Meeting 2024.
• There are also dedicated lines for people with bags, as shown in this video. So, bringing a larger bag or backpack could slow your entry into the AGM as the “bag line” can get crowded.

We would recommend going without a bag to the CHI Health Center. This will speed up your entry and also avoid any problems.

Can I bring my camera to the CHI Health Center?

Based on our knowledge, you can surely bring your camera or video equipment to the CHI Health Center.

 

Can I bring my food and drinks to the CHI Health Center?

Sadly, it is not allowed to bring food into the CHI. Security forces you to throw your food away during the bag control in the morning. Either make sure to eat your food while you wait in line, or leave it in your hotel or Airbnb.

 

How is the catering at the Berkshire Shareholder Meeting 2025?

You have the following options to get food at the CHI Health Center:

• In the morning, you can get free breakfast at stands in the convention center. Packaged bakery products, nut bars, soda, orange juice, coffee and other items are available. This breakfast is an excellent option to collect a breakfast and snacks to enjoy during the day.
• During the day, you have to pay for food and drinks. A wide selection of offerings is available at the AGM hall stands.
• The CHI itself is a cashless facility. So, please bring your credit card to pay at the stands in the CHI Health Center. However, you will need some cash to pay in the exhibition hall. So, please also have some $1 bills if you, for instance, consider buying from Dairy Queen in the Exhibition Hall.

Finding a fulfilling food stand might be difficult if you are foody or travel on a tight budget. Therefore, we recommend the following:

• It could help to walk to other restaurants close to the AGM for lunch.
• Some food vending machines are in separate rooms near the entrances. They might also offer an option to get snacks for a fair price.

 

How can I get a good seat at the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting 2025?

Many legends are being told about the “race for the best seats” on the morning of the Berkshire Hathaway AGM. Some shareholders are even “camping” at the CHI from 2 AM to get in line for the “best” seats.

How can I navigate the CHI Health Center?

It helps to learn about the CHI Health Center to identify your “best seats”. The Berkshire Hathaway AGM venue has a capacity for close to 19,000 people in its arena.

Aside from the 19,000 arena seats, extra seating for thousands of shareholders is available via additional overfill rooms, like the Peter Kiewit Grand Ballroom. There, you can watch the live stream of the meeting. The plus of these “overfill” rooms is the more comfortable seats. Sitting for hours and listening to the Berkshire AGM 2025 is more leisurely in these rooms.

To explore the CHI Health Center further, we recommend using these resources:

• You can understand the different levels of the arena with this arena map.
• To get a feel for the venue as a first-time visitor, it is super helpful to take this virtual tour.
• AGM Seating is comparable to this scheme. If you want to make any seating plans, please use this scheme to plan them.

What are recommended “seating strategies”?

To help you find the strategy that fits you, we are sharing our recommendations for different seating strategies here:

Close to the stage seats

It is best to arrive early to sit on or close to the stage. Early birds can park from 2:00 AM at the CHI Health Center parking lots. Though, we would recommend arriving between 3 and 4 PM.

Waiting in line that early can be fun. We have heard of many friendships that were formed during the morning wait. It can make sense to bring a foldable camping chair and a blanket to make the wait comfortable in the morning’s cold. An umbrella or raincoat could also help in case it is raining.

The best seats are not always in the area in front of the stage. The areas 122-123 and 103-104 could have a better view of the stage.

Just have a seat

You can arrive at 06:30 to 06:45 AM before the doors open if you are okay with not sitting on or close to the stage floor. You can speed up your entry if you leave your larger backpack at home and look for a less crowded entrance.

Sit together with a group

It helps to go for the upper ranks of the arena to sit with a group. There, you should be able to have enough seats for a group, as most shareholders first head for the lower levels to get the best view.

Our experience

Our “strategy” is to arrive at around 6:30 to 6:45 AM. At this arrival time, we always made it to get good seats. For us, there is generally no significant difference between the different seating areas in the arena. You can see the stage from every seat in the arena. The large screens and the excellent audio also help you to follow the speakers words.

The Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting exhibition gives you great insights into Berkshire Hathaway’s company universe. Exhibitors in the hall are Berkshire Hathaway subsidiaries. In this overview, you can discover the exhibitors sorted by sector:

• Consumer goods: Duracell, Jazwares
• Energy: Berkshire Hathaway Energy
• Food & retail: Borsheims, Dairy Queen, Nebraska Furniture Mart, Oriental Trading, Pampered Chef, See’s Candies

You can purchase their products at the booths of many exhibitors. Therefore, the exhibition hall is called the “Berkshire Bazaar of Bargains.” The exhibition hall is open on Friday and Saturday:

• On Friday, you can access the exhibition from noon until 5 PM. For instance, you can combine your exhibition visit with your pick-up of tickets at the will-call. If you want to get to know Berkshire Hathaway subsidiaries, we strongly recommend visiting the Exhibition on Friday. It will be easier to chat with management on this day. Furthermore, shopping might be more fun as the exhibition is less crowded, and all purchasable goods will be available.
• On Saturday, the exhibition hall is open from 7 AM to 4 PM. You can visit the exhibition at any time during the Berkshire Meeting 2025. Based on our experience, the exhibition will be more crowded later during the day.

Ship your purchases

Berkshire Hathaway offers a shipping service in the Exhibition Hall for (US-based) shareholders who want to ship their goods. You can find more about it in the visitor’s guide.

We recommend using your travel luggage to bring your purchases from the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting 2025 to a country outside the US. Sadly, shipping fees from the US are pretty high. Therefore, better plan with extra space in your luggage for the boxes of See’s Candies peanut brittle and your new investing books.

• The NFM Omaha location is worth visiting. It is located at 700 S 72nd St, Omaha, NE 68114. A great time to visit is after the AGM on Saturday. From 5:30 to 8:00 PM, the NFM holds the “NFM Berkshire Picnic”. Then, limited shuttle buses will take you to the NFM. You can learn more about this offer in the visitor’s guide.
• The NFM will have a booth in the Exhibition Hall. There, you can easily shop for a limited selection of special deals.

What can I shop at Borsheims?

The Berkshire subsidiary Borsheims offers attractive discounts and products to shareholders. It is located at 120 Regency Pkwy, Omaha, NE 68114:

How long should I stay in Omaha for the Good Investing Berkshire AGM 2025?

There is no generally working answer to this question. It all depends on your individual budget and the time you have available. We have made the following observations based on the data of over 300+ visitors of our conference that are hopefully helpful to you

Recommendation: Stay a few days longer

We generally recommend staying from Wednesday to Sunday or Monday in Omaha. Aside from Berkshire Hathaway’s events, plenty of other interesting events will take place in Omaha. Around the AGM, the “largest trade fair for value investors” has grown over the years. Therefore, it makes sense to invest a few more days into staying in Omaha.

Especially, as an international visitor, you can enjoy more of the festivities at the “Woodstock of Capitalism” when you bring a bit more time. We have seen visitors struggle, if they just come to Omaha from Friday to Sunday. Especially, international visitors were still jet-lagged and could not fully enjoy plenty of the events that take place around the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting.

Many domestic visitors also missed out on interesting events that happen on Friday or Sunday. Furthermore, flight prices on Friday and Sunday are usually very high. We have also seen many issues with connecting flights and a lot of spontaneous flight changes. There are only a few direct flights to Omaha. If you have to take a connection flight, it can easily happen that you might be stranded on your journey to Omaha. Please factor this in your travel planning.

The shorter trip version

We recommend flying in Thursday night and flying out on Sunday after 2 PM, if you are on a tight time budget. So, you will have the chance to participate in all events on Friday and also the highlights on Sunday, like the Markel brunch.

Flying out on Saturday can be a practical solution if you need to be at home for parts of the weekend. But please develop a plan for how to store/handle your luggage if you plan to visit the Berkshire Hathaway AGM. It needs some planning ahead of the AGM day to handle your luggage.

 

What should I pack for my stay in Omaha?

Based on the observation of 300+ visitors and several AGM trips, we could share the following observations and recommendations:

• Casual or business casual are the dominant clothing styles during the BRK Hathaway AGM week in Omaha. A more formal clothing style is rarely seen or needed.
• May and September are usually the nicest months of the year in Omaha. It is warm, but also not too hot. Though it is usually quite nice, and you can already enjoy the outdoors, there are still risks of cold or colder episodes. Therefore, we recommend for packing for a kind of weather. Please bring some summer clothing with you, but also don’t forget the warm jacket.
• The weather in the Midwest can change quickly. Lovely summer days can turn to days with intense rainstorms where it is pouring heavily. Even tornados are possible. Therefore, we recommend checking the weather report daily. Furthermore, please ensure you have rainproof cloths.
• Omaha is way more south than many visitors, especially, if they are from Europe, might think. This also means an increased risk of sun burn. Please bring some sunscreen with you to avoid this.
• During the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting week, Omaha is quite crowded. Hotels will be filled up to 90% for the weekend. This also means a higher noise level during the night. Therefore, we recommend packing ear plugs to sleep better.

 

How can I travel to Omaha for the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting 2025?

There are several options to travel to Omaha for the Berkshire Shareholder Meeting 2025:

 

By airplane

Flying into Omaha’s Eppley Field Airport

Shareholders usually fly into Omaha’s Eppley Field Airport. Via Eppley Field’s website, you can find all available connections to and from Omaha. This Google Flights function can also help you visualize the best connections to and from Omaha. These recommendations could also be helpful for you:

• As an international traveler, please plan with enough time for immigration. You need 2 to 5 hours to enter the US at some international airports. We recommend scheduling a 4-hour buffer between international arrival and US departure to be on the safe side.
• We would recommend looking for flights from late October. Unlike booking a hotel, booking a flight is worthwhile waiting. Usually, airfares are cheapest three to five months before the AGM.
• The cheapest flights to Omaha can generally be found on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday and Friday, prices will be higher due to the high demand. Outbound flights are usually expensive on Sunday and Monday. Prices go down from Monday again and should normalize on Tuesday.
• We recommend automating our flight research using Google Flights’ or Skyscanner’s price notifications. So, you will be notified when cheaper flight prices are available.
• To compensate for your CO² emissions, we recommend Atmosfair.

If you plan to take a Lyft, Uber or Taxi from Omaha Eppley Airfield to your accommodation, please make sure to check out this website to find the right pick-up spot.

Flying into a neighboring airport

Sometimes, flying directly into Omaha is not the cheapest option. There are airports close to Omaha you could fly to, too. From there, you could drive in a rented car to Omaha. Qeeq could help you find the best deal for your car rental.

• Des Moines, Lincoln, Grand Island, Sioux City, and Kansas City are options for connections within the United States.
• Minneapolis, Chicago, or Denver offer the chance to travel internationally to a city close to Omaha.

 

By train or bus

Amtrak

You can travel by train to Omaha. Amtrak’s scenic California Zephyr runs daily from Chicago or Denver (Salt Lake City – San Francisco) to Omaha. On both routes, the observation car can make your trip spectacular.

• From Chicago, the train departs at 2 PM. You will arrive in Omaha at 10:55 PM.
• From Denver, the train departs at 7:10 PM and arrives in Omaha at 04:59 AM.

We recommend booking your train ticket six months before the AGM for the best prices.

If you are a fan of traveling by train as we are, you should also explore Amtrak’s USA Rail Pass. With it, you can ride ten travel segments in the US for $499 (and sometimes for the sale price of $299). This pass could be a great option, especially if you are eager to explore the East Coast.

Trains in the US sometimes run late as they share tracks with freight trains. The chance of having a delay is usually higher if you travel from Omaha to Chicago. You can track potential delays from or to Omaha with this map and this map.

Greyhound

Several Greyhound connections approach Omaha. Traveling by Greyhound is very affordable but can also be a real adventure.  

 

How can I book suitable accommodation for the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting 2025?

It is worth planning your journey and your overnight stay early. Here, we are sharing our recommendations for accommodations in Omaha.

 

Booking a hotel room

Omaha is packed around the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting 2025. So, hotel prices will rise quickly, especially as up to 90% of the hotel rooms could be booked on the AGM’s Friday and Saturday. You should book your room soon to get the best prices for the Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder Meeting 2025.

Our recommendations for your hotel booking

Furthermore, we recommend the following for your hotel search in Omaha:

• Booking directly through the hotel’s website. There, you will usually get the best deal.
• You can book numerous high-quality hotels and motels in Omaha online. We recommend a location with at least 4.5 stars on Google or more than 8.0 on Booking.com.
• The official Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders guide also has a list of selected hotels. You can go through it to find great deals.
• The neighboring city Council Bluffs (Iowa) is a secret tip if you are looking for an affordable hotel. Here, you could find a cheap hotel if prices in Omaha are high.
• Omaha’s hotel capacity has increased during the last few years. Searching for recently opened hotels or hotels opening soon could be helpful. As they are in the built-up phase and not on the radar of all visitors, these hotels could still offer capacity and a reasonable price for your stay during the AGM.

 

Booking a holiday home

For holiday homes, we recommend checking the following platforms:

1. On Airbnb, you can find the widest selection of reasonable accommodations at a fair price. We are huge fans of booking accommodation on Airbnb for the Berkshire Shareholder Meeting 2025.
2. Vrbo can also offer other home rentals that are not listed on Airbnb. Many foreign travelers might not know this local competitor of Airbnb. Therefore, there could be an exciting deal to find.
3. HomeToGo can offer an additional selection of apartments. Make sure to check it for additional offerings.

Our recommendations for your holiday home booking

To avoid running into issues with a holiday apartment, please read the following:

• Please always review the ratings of the place you are planning to book. We would recommend at least a rating of 4.7 stars. In 2019, we made a mistake and booked a lower-quality place. So, sadly, we had to re-book for the week of the Berkshire Hathaway Annual General Meeting. This was pretty costly.
• We have also experienced hosts that might ask for a 50%-100% higher price for an already booked accommodation when they realize that the AGM is taking place. The chance is below 5% that this could happen to you, but you should know that such a risk exists. If such behavior occurs, you should involve the platform you have booked through right away.
• We also came across scammers who might want to make quick $ by offering accommodations that don’t exist. Please book only from hosts with a believable record of renting apartments out. Furthermore, please ensure your holiday home has at least a few reviews.

 

Are there any neighborhoods that could be unsafe?

Omaha is a pretty safe city. We never had the feeling of being unsafe. However, we have heard that North Omaha and Southeast Omaha might have areas where you should be more cautious.

 

What can I do to keep my travel costs low?

We are pleased to share a few cost-saving recommendations to reduce expenses during your stay in Omaha.

How can I find a suitable mobile phone contract for my US stay?

We would strongly recommend getting a mobile phone contract with a dedicated number. Some services in the US need a local phone number to work for you. Without a number, it won’t be possible to use these local services.

• For a short stay (1 to 2 weeks), we recommend Airhub. Airhub offers an e-sim solution including a phone number.
• For a longer stay (above 2 up to 4 weeks), we recommend T-Mobile USA. Their prepaid option should give a great all-inclusive solution.

Wise offers an excellent solution to pay in $ and other foreign currencies.

• You will profit from very low exchange fees that allow you to save on every transaction compared.

How can I reduce food expenses?

We found a few hacks to reduce transport costs:

• TooGoodToGo is the best app to save money and reduce food waste. It is serviced in many US cities. You can buy affordable meals with TooGoodToGo. Sadly, the offer in Omaha is minimal.
• Consuming coffee outside your home can be costly. If you want to enjoy your coffee with milk, we recommend getting an Americano instead of a Cappuccino or Latte. Usually, you can fill up your Americano with milk for free at the shops.

How can I save on transport costs?

Instead of using Uber for your trips, you can explore public transport opportunities for your trip. For instance, each bus ride in Omaha is only $1.25. E-Bikes can be purchased for a flat rate price. In some other cities, public transport can even be free.

We also recommend packing lightly and having some space in your luggage. This will allow to not pay on luggage or shipping fees.

How can I get around Omaha during the week of the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting 2025?

Our recommendations for getting around in Omaha

We recommend Omaha’s bus lines and Heartland Bike Share to get around during Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting 2025. Both offer the best deal to get around. They allow you to be mobile for a fraction of the costs of other options.  

 

Walking, e-bikes, or e-scooter

Walking

Walking is an excellent option if you stay in Omaha’s east. The older districts of Omaha’s east offer a decent walking infrastructure. By walking, you can also explore the city better.

Google Maps is the ideal map solution for your walks. We recommend downloading the local maps ahead of traveling. So, your data consumption in the US can stay low.

Heartland Bike Share e-bikes

In many parts of Omaha, you can rent a Heartland Bike. All your bike rides will be covered with the monthly pass for $20 (tax). Please use the code BRK2024 to get a $2 discount on the monthly pass.

All bikes are electric. So, driving is more fun. The BCycle (iOS | Android) app helps you find and reserve bikes. These bikes are picked up and locked at a vast station network within Omaha.

To find the safest biking routes, you can discover Omaha’s biking infrastructure via Google Maps.

Rental e-scooters

Spin and Lime electric scooters are for rent in Omaha. Lime scooters are directly bookable via the Uber (iOS | Android) app. You can also download the Lime (iOS | Android) app.

 

Public or shuttle buses

Omaha public bus system

Plenty of bus lines run daily from 6 AM to 9 PM in Omaha. We recommend watching this short video to master your bus ride.You can search for your best bus connections with the MyRide OMA (iOS | Android) app, Google Maps, or this system map.

Bus tickets are super affordable, especially if you travel long distances. A ticket only costs $1.25 per ride. They can be purchased online with the Umo app, at ticket machines, or in cash on the bus. There is also a 10-ride pass for $12.50. We recommend bringing the exact sum if you want to pay in cash. Refunds will only be done with vouchers.

We loved using buses during our stay in Omaha. They were on time and offered a lot of seating. Buses can often be faster than Uber and Lyft, if you factor in the wait time while only costing a fraction per person and ride.

We especially recommend riding the ORBT line. It runs every 10 minutes from West to East and vice versa.

Berkshire Hathaway’s shuttle buses

On Saturday, Berkshire Hathaway offers bus shuttles to and from the Berkshire Shareholder Meeting 2025. You can find the routes in the visitor’s guide.  

 

Taxi, Uber, Lyft or rental cars

Uber or Lyft

Ride-sharing apps like Lyft (iOS | Android) and Uber (iOS | Android) can get you around in Omaha. Many trips should be doable below $10. Here, you can compare fares for Uber and Lyft to plan your budget.

Taxi

Looking for a cab via the zTrip app (iOS | Android) or calling +1(402)292-2222 can save you a lot of money. Uber and Lyft can be super expensive during the Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholders Meeting 2025 week due to dynamic pricing. In such cases, taxis can be a cheaper alternative due to price caps.

Rental cars
