      1. Are you a fit?

      We want to ensure you are a fit for the Emerging Managers Meeting (and the Plus community). Therefore, we will review your application in-depth.

      2a. Allocator onboarding

      If we feel you are a fit, you will receive a confirmation mail for the event. We will send you further details via mail in April.

      2b. Fund manager onboarding

      If we feel you are a fit, you will be invited to your 60-minute onboarding call. There, you can ask us all open questions and onboard.

      We warmly welcome the following participants:

      • Fund Managers who are running a fund with less than ten years of fund track record
      • Allocators that are interested in meeting Emerging Managers

      The event is limited to 150 participants. It will, highly likely be, sold out.

      Most Emerging Managers that join us in Omaha are long-term oriented stock pickers who are deeply inspired by Warren Buffett.

      We also had guests from other fields of investing (VC, real estate, private equity) that really enjoyed participating in the Emerging Manager Meeting.

      Roughly 1/3 of the participants of the Emerging Manager Meeting have been allocators in the past. They come from all over the globe. We welcomed guests from Asia (e.g. Singapore, South Korea, China), Africa (e.g. South Africa) and Europe (e.g. France, Belgium, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland).

      We also welcomed a wide set of institutional setups in our allocator group. Smaller and larger (multi) family offices, foundations and endowments, as well as local asset managers, participated in the event.

      We also a dedicated allocator-only networking event in close timely proximity to the Emerging Managers Meeting to allow allocators to network with peers during the Berkshire Hathaway AGM week. More details on this fun event and additional networking opportunities will be shared after registration.

      The Emerging Managers Meeting is a pure networking event. After registration, you can start networking with other participants. We are pleased to assist you with targeted introductions throughout the event. Please let us know if you want to speak to a dedicated person.

      We are meeting at a nice and spacious space in Omaha.

      • As an allocator, we will e-mail you the address once you have successfully registered. Please ensure that you have confirmed the newsletter subscription to be able to receive the location.
      • As a fund manager, you can RSVP with your Plus community account.

      Please stay at least 90 minutes to profit highly from the event. Otherwise, you will miss out on many great networking opportunities.

      The dress code is casual to business casual.

      We want to make the Emerging Managers Meeting the best possible event for fund related networking in Omaha. The community membership will benefit to this goal:

      • The application process is another quality filter that allows us to filter for true long-term oriented investors and quality Emerging Managers.
      • The value-add is increased as members can join our community networking conference as well as profit one year from the community advantages for Emerging Managers.
      • The ties between the participants are strengthened as the networking is also possible digitally in Circle and in person at our community networking conference.

      The demand is in high demand. Therefore, the following applies:

      • Allocators can bring additional team members. We kindly ask them to share their names with us ahead of the event to allow us to be able to provide printed name tags.
      • As a Plus member, you are allowed to bring one additional team member to the Emerging Manager Meeting, if this person is a member of the community and has RSVPed via Circle.

      No. The Emerging Managers Meeting is for managers with an existing fund. If you are on the way to launching a fund, you are kindly invited to apply to the Good Investing Plus community. Here, we are thrilled to support you further in your fund setup journey.

      The first meeting has been in 2022. Since then, the meeting has yearly been taking place.
